Washington University heart specialists at the Center for Adult Congenital Heart Disease provide a full range of clinical and diagnostic services, including cardiac catheterization and angiography, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography and exceptionally high quality radiological services including magnetic resonance imaging and functional imaging, CT scanning, and PET/CT scanning.

Our physicians treat congenital cardiac conditions in patients who have been repaired as children or adolescents, patients with unrepaired defects and newly diagnosed or suspicion of defects that do not present themselves until adulthood. Abnormalities can include:
  • Atrial septal defect
  • Bicuspid aortic valve
  • Coarctation of the aorta
  • Heart failure
  • Arrhythmia
  • Patent foramen ovale
