Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Symptoms

Even though not all patients with HCM will have symptoms, those who do experience symptoms may experience the following:

  • Shortness of breath
  • Chest pain
  • Fainting

HCM can result in a more serious outcome such as heart failure, stroke or sudden death. Exercise can be a trigger for a catastrophic event, either during or immediately after exertion.
