Siteman Cancer Center

The Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine is an international leader in cancer treatment. It is the only cancer center in Missouri to hold the prestigious Comprehensive Cancer Center designation from the National Cancer Institute and membership in the National Comprehensive Cancer Network.

Siteman Cancer Center is one of the largest clinical programs in the country with more than 450 Washington University physicians providing care for ​75,000 people, including 12,000 newly diagnosed cancer patients, each year.

Siteman offers access to:

  • A full range of advanced diagnostic and treatment services
  • 700 interventional clinical trials, which are investigational therapies not generally available to the public
  • A wide variety of support services throughout a patient’s care

Siteman is located in the Center for Advanced Medicine on the Washington University Medical Campus in the Central West End. Satellite facilities are conveniently located at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital in Creve Coeur; Northwest HealthCare, part of Christian Hospital, in north St. Louis County; Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital in St. Charles County; Siteman Cancer Center–South County; and Memorial Hospital Shiloh in Illinois.
