Eric Strand, MD
Originally from Cincinnati, Dr. Strand joined Washington University Physicians in 2012 to assume the position of Director of the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Strand is passionate both about his patients and the education of future physicians, and is currently the Director for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program. His clinical interests include obstetrical care, contraceptive management, evaluation and management of abnormal bleeding patterns and menopause. He is an oral board examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and has spoken nationally on evidence-based techniques for cesarean deliveries as well as infection prevention strategies for gynecologic surgery.
