Our research interests at this time are focused on the causes of thrombotic disorders and novel treatments for sickle cell disease. To this end, we are studying the role of an inflammatory inhibitor in patients with sickle cell disease and are currently collecting blood samples from those with blood clots for DNA sequencing and enzyme assays to better understand the causes of thrombosis. “
