Obstetrics and Gynecology / Gynecologic Oncology
The physicians of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology care for women who present with the diagnosis of a possible gynecologic cancer or a pre-cancerous condition.

This includes women who have had abnormal pap smears and/or cervical lesions and need additional work-up to rule out the possibility of cervical cancer; patients with abnormal uterine bleeding to rule out endometrial cancer; patients with vulvar irritations and/or lesions to rule out vulvar cancer; and patients with adnexal or pelvic masses to rule out ovarian cancer.

Patients may be self-referred or may be referred to the division by other physicians from the metropolitan St. Louis area, as well as beyond. It is not uncommon for patients to travel hundreds of miles to be cared for by one of the gynecologic oncology specialists at Washington University.
