Neurologic Rehabilitation - Amputee Services

The Amputee Services program is directed by a physician selected as a "Best Doctor in America" and listed as one of America's Top Doctors, Castle Connolly Medical Ltd.:

Oksana Volshteyn, MD, Section Head of the Spinal Cord Injury

Although technically not a neurologic problem, amputations are housed under Neurology because of Dr. Volshteyn’s expertise as a neurologist.

The Amputee Services Program provides comprehensive management of amputations from acute inpatient care, to pre-prosthetic rehabilitation, prosthetics, physical therapy, and equipment needed by the amputee

FOR APPOINTMENTS, CALL: 314-362-4503

A multidisciplinary team manages every aspect of the amputee’s care. The staff and faculty members include:

  • Certified prothetists
  • Physical Therapists for inpatient gait training to restore ambulatory function, and outpatient physical therapy to include use of the prosthetic
