Nutritional Counseling

Nutrition

Weight gain has become an increasingly common problem. Two-thirds of American adults are overweight, which increases their risk of developing a large number of medical complications.

However, even a modest amount of weight loss, as long as it is maintained, can have considerable health benefits.

Experience has shown that gradual weight loss using a low-calorie diet plan is safer and associated with fewer medical complications than rapid weight loss that requires the use of an extremely low-calorie diet.

Nutritional counseling offers participants information in menu selections, grocery shopping, portion size and nutrient content to help them define a low-calorie diet plan.

For the individual who's schedule does not allow attendance at our regularly scheduled meetings, we also offer individual treatment plans.
