Founded in 1879, St. Louis Children's Hospital is one of the premier pediatric hospitals in the United States.

Each year over 275,000 children from the St. Louis region, the nation and the world come to Children’s Hospital for leading edge care and treatment. The staff physicians of St. Louis Children’s Hospital are Washington University physicians from the School of Medicine, ranked the #6 medical school in the country by U.S.News & World Report.

• In 2012, U.S.News & World Report named St. Louis Children’s Hospital to its Honor Roll of America’s Best Children’s Hospitals, one of the top 12 pediatric hospitals in the United States.

• In 2010 St. Louis Children's Hospital was re-designated as a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program®, which recognizes excellence in nursing. Only 2% of Magnet hospitals have received re-designation.

• Largest center in the world for selective dorsal rhizotomy, a neurosurgical procedure to reduce spastic cerebral palsy in the legs and improve movement.

• One of the most active pediatric organ transplant programs in the country. Through 2011, the last recorded year, our physicians have performed more than 400 lung transplants, 380 heart transplants, 280 liver transplants, 294 kidney transplants and 373 bone marrow  transplants in children.

Getting There

St. Louis Children's Hospital is located in the Central West End of St. Louis, Missouri across from historic Forest Park.  The address is One Children's Place, St. Louis, MO 63110

Families and guests can park in the hospitals' visitor parking garage at the intersection of Kingshighway Blvd. and Children's Place. To access the garage, turn east on Children's Place from Kingshighway and make an immediate right into the garage. Once you've parked your vehicle, take the elevator to the second floor walkway. The information desk is on your left as you enter the hospital.
