The
Magnet Recognition Program®
recognizes health care organizations for quality patient care, nursing excellence and innovations in professional nursing practice. Consumers rely on Magnet designation as the ultimate credential for high quality nursing.
Over 2,500 nurses at Barnes-Jewish Hospital share in the clinical excellence this award represents. Magnet status serves as a draw for top nursing recruits to Barnes-Jewish Hospital and in a time of national nurse shortages it helps the hospital retain its excellent nursing staff.
Only 2 percent of the nation's hospitals are Magnet certified. To achieve Magnet status, the hospital met 14 standards that included 97 criteria all built around the nursing process.
In addition to being recognized as one of America's top 10 hospitals and with many of the Washington University physicians ranked as
Top Doctors in America
and
Best Doctors in America
year after year, the BJH nursing staff has now been recognized as among the best in the nation for clinical expertise and for its contribution of excellence to patient care.
When you are considering where to go for medical services it is important to think of who the healthcare professionals will be that oversee your care. You deserve the best care available for yourself and your loved ones, the expert care that the nurses and Washington University physicians at Barnes-Jewish Hospital can provide.
