Washington University transplantation surgeons perform abdominal organ transplants for people with advanced liver (hepatic) disease, pancreas-kidney transplant and end-stage renal (kidney) disease. In addition to transplantation, this group also performs surgery to remove both benign and malignant tumors of the liver, for bile duct problems, to treat portal hypertension and to provide kidney dialysis access.

Heart and lung transplants are performed by our cardiothoracic surgeons.
